Several renowned Malayalam women artistes today hailed Kerala police for nabbing the prime accused in the molestation of a South Indian actress.

Expressing happiness over the arrest of the prime accused Pulser Suni and his accomplice V P Vigeesh, noted Malayalam actress Manju Warrier said she was certain that "truth will come out".

Manju, a close friend of the harassed actress, demanded a thorough probe into the criminal conspiracy angle into the incident, which created a nation-wide outrage.

Veteran Malayalam actress KPAC Lalitha and dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi also lauded the police for arresting the accused.

"We are proud of Kerala Police," Bhagyalakshmi said, adding that the culprits should be given stringent punishment.

Lalitha also hailed the police action against the accused.

The actress, who has also starred in Tamil and Telugu films, was abducted and allegedly molested inside her car for two hours by the accused, who had forced their way into the vehicle on the night of February 17 and later escaped in a busy area here.

Nearly a week after the incident, police today arrested the prime accused as they entered a court complex here to surrender.
