The victory had only upped their chances of being lured more and more by the ad world, on the small screen. While cricket and Bollywood stars are some of the most soughted faces for ads, the men in blue seemed to have scored brownie points. The man of the moment seemed to be Indian skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Be it his long-haired copper locks or his super short crop, Dhoni has managed to look effortlessly chic and smart, both on and off the field. But over a month later, Dhoni’s popularity with the women still seems to be on the peak.

Actress Shahana Goswami couldn’t seem to agree more, “He is charming, good looking, he is a great captain, down to earth and calm! Plus he is the best of the lot when it comes to acting as well,” she gushes.

Dhoni’s World Cup victory only seems to have added to his ever increasing female fan base. Model-turned-actor Sarah Jane Dias is also an ardent fan of the skipper, “MS Dhoni is definitely the best captain ever. His acceptance speech totally won me over and I think he has a cute smile too.”

TV actress Shweta Keswani also echoes similar thoughts as she says, “Dhoni has the drive and the right attitude to win. Plus it doesn’t hurt that he is good looking.”

While everybody is busy singing Dhoni’s praises, TV anchor Archana Vijaya has another cricketer she looks up to. “I think it would definitely be the man of the moment — who has regained his popularity and let the bat and ball do the talking — Yuvvraj Singh. I am truly happy for him because he is one of the most talented batsmen in the world and has found his form back this time with the bat as well becoming one of the most fierce all rounders in todays times!” says Archana.

Among the younger lot, advertising professional, Kunal Shivdasani places his bets on cricketers Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.

“Virat is a complete package of looks and the right attitude. Dhoni, after leading the team to World Cup Glory is now in a different league, He is a star now,” concludes Kunal.
