Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur who shot to fame after starring in critically acclaimed movie “ The Lunchbox” will be part of hit TV series “Homeland”. It is certainly a feather in the cap for Nimrat and a treat for urban Indian audiences already hooked on to the TV series.

Homeland is the story of Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes), a case officer in CIA. One of the major characters of the show - Nicholas Brody - died in the third season. Season 4 promises to have a fresh look with several acclaimed actors slated to join the cast. Along with Nimrat, Mad Men star Mark Moses and Art Malik will also join the drama.

Nimrat will be seen as a high-level operative within Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence, while Moses' character Dennis is described as an academic teaching political science at Islamabad's Quaid-I-Azam University.

The show's fourth season will be based on Pakistan. Currently the show is being shot in Capetown. Pakistan will be recreated in South Africa by crew of the award winning series. The 32 year actress announced the big news on Twitter. Nimrat was however candid enough to acknowledge that she did not follow the show before becoming a part of the ensemble cast.
