Lokpal Bill: Soha Ali Khan's plea

‘I think that the issue of corruption is one that we are all united in our stand against. But, instead of sensationalising the issue on a loop, it’s important that the public be educated about the details of the Jan Lokpal bill so that they can make an informed decision whether to support it in part, entirely or not at all. Anna Hazare has done wonderful things for this country, to imprison him and to try to malign him comes across as a desperate attempt at distraction and face-saving. There are many very credible people who support him — the voice of the people cannot and should not be ignored — the disenfranchised have genuine grievances and the government should take this opportunity to address them seriously.’
