A section of the distributors of Rajinikanth starrer Lingaa on Saturday sat on a day-long fast here seeking compensation for the alleged financial losses they suffered by buying the movie. Distributors including Singaravelan of Marina Pictures claimed that they had suffered huge losses as Lingaa did not perform well at the box-office.

They requested Rajinikanth to intervene in the issue and help them get compensation from the production house Rockline.

Lingaa released on December 12 last year coinciding with the birthday celebrations of Rajinikanth. Iconic music composer AR Rahman had scored music for the movie.
