'Men and women are not designed to get married': 'Liger' director Puri Jagannadh's musings on divorce go viral

Ace filmmaker Puri Jagannadh also asked people to not get married if they are lonely.

Ace filmmaker Puri Jagannadh has his official YouTube page where he posts his audio clips on certain topics. In the past few months, the 'Liger' helmer has spoken about every topic under the sun from anxiety, suicide to mother, aliens, friends, Bob Marley and more. His latest audio clip is about divorce and it has gone viral on the Internet. In the audio, Puri is heard saying that don't get married because one is lonely as they can get lonely after marriage too.

Jagannadh states, "Men and women are not designed to get married. The more they talk to each other and spend time together, the marriage falls apart. That is why the divorces have become more common in the Pandemic."

Puri further added, "Spend less time with each other. Don't talk more. Don't sleep facing each other. Talk to your friends or watch TV. Save your marriage in these difficult times."

The filmmaker went on to say, "Don't get married because you are feeling Lonely. You will get Lonely after the marriage. By 2040, we will only have 30% of marriages happening. Both men and women should have a job for marriage and two years of work experience should be mandatory. Also, there should be elaborate counselling to both of them before the marriage."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Puri's upcoming directorial is 'Liger' starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles. The film is touted to be a pan-Indian flick as it has been shot in Hindi and Telugu languages simultaneously.
