Basketball player Kobe Bryant surprised singer Taylor Swift by presenting her with a congratulatory banner for her record-setting 16 sold-out shows at the Staples Center, here. The 37-year-old Los Angeles Lakers star unveiled a championship banner for the "Bad Blood" hitmaker on his home turf, reported Billboard.

"Taylor Swift, Most Sold Out Performances," the banner read.

Bryant pointed to the drop-down banner as fans screamed, before Swift hugged him in gratitude. Swift, 25, took to Twitter to thank him for the gift.

"Tonight @kobebryant surprised me with a banner in @STAPLESCenter for the most sold out shows. You did that. Love you."

Bryant tweeted in reply, "My pleasure @taylorswift13 Keep breaking records and changing lives #1989TourLA." The official account of Staples Center, LA, also shared a picture of the duo on Instagram.

"Congrats on record setting 16 sold out shows @taylorswift, most by any artist in the history of STAPLES Center! For that we raise a banner in your honour! #1989TourLA," read the caption.
