Kapoor denied rumours of him being upset about replacing actor Arjun Rampal in film-maker Farhan Akhtar’s next.
Actor Kunal Kapoor is happy to be back in the groove after long.
Ask him about his absence and he quips, “Well, I have always kept a low profile so it’s not a new thing in my life. I love the process of movie making and I love talking about movies, but when I am not shooting I prefer to spend that time travelling or learning something new, so I am usually off the radar. And for the last two months I have been in Berlin, shooting for Don 2.”
Actor Arjun Rampal who was a part of the first installment of the film is no more a part of the sequel and there were reports in the media that suggested that Kapoor was replacing Rampal.
Quiz him about this and he nonchalantly brushes it off saying, “I am very excited about being a part of a huge franchise like Don. I am working with hugely talented actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra and that itself is a big thing. These reports in the papers do not bother me because the fact is that I haven’t replaced Arjun. I am not at all upset. If anything, I am excited about being a part of the film.”
Kapoor is quite a multi-tasker and along with movies, he is learning to be a pilot and also taking lessons in sporting activity of parkour. Ask him if that is the reason for seeing him so less on-screen and he says, “I am just someone that’s not easily excited and if I am not excited about something, I don’t see the point in doing it. Unfortunately the films I was excited about got delayed for various reasons. But now things are coming together and you will see a lot more of me soon,” he ends on a positive note.
