This 2012 Hindi movie starring Akshay Kumar was a superhit and now it looks like it’s being remade in Kannada. The movie was already remade in Telugu as Gopala Gopala with Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan.

OMG - Oh My God was directed in Hindi by Umesh Shukla and is a satirical comedy. It is based on the Australian film The Man Who Sued God. The movie was produced by Akshay Kumar. However, it was banned in the UAE for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.

Kannada stars Kiccha Sudeep and Upendra will play the lead roles in the Kannada version of the film. While Sudeep will play the role essayed by Akshay Kumar, Upendra will play Paresh Rawal’s role. The film will be tweaked to Kannada sensibilities and any scenes where they feel religious sentiments may be hurt, will be reworked.

Three producers are working together on this Kannada project, say news reports. Kichcha Creations, Jayashreedevi Productions and N Kumar Productions will team up for the film which is to be directed by Nanda Kishore.
