Kelly Clarkson opens up about parenthood and relationship with her father

American singer Kelly Clarkson recently got emotional while praising her husband Brandon Blackstock's parenting skill.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the 33-year-old singer said that Blackstock is such a great father, adding that seeing his husband loving his daughter is beautiful to watch. "Watching my husband love on his daughter all the time, go to her events and just be there and be present is hard to watch, but beautiful to watch. I know that my kids are going to have that,” she said.

The 'Heartbeat Song' hit-maker further said, "I used to be such a downward Debbie when people use to say, 'Oh you haven't found the right one.' Shut up! It was like a fairy tale."

It is being said that for Kelly, seeing his husband's bond with his daughter River Rose is even more special because she didn't shared the best relationship with her own father.

Talking about relationship with her father, the 'Breakaway' songstress, who is preparing to welcome her second child, said that she thinks that she never understood the gravity of her relationship with her father until she was pregnant with Rose. "I cannot imagine not seeing this kid to his or her full potential and just seeing what she’s going to do, what she’s going to be like,” the singer said.
