Kelly Brook's ex-boyfriend Danny Cipriani has revealed that the beauty, who is pregnant with a baby girl just over three months into her whirlwind romance with Thom Evans, confided her secret to him as far back as January.
The ex-couple split in June last year after almost two years together, but have remained friends, even holidaying together in the Maldives over Christmas.
"Kelly told me in January that she was expecting. I'm really happy for her. She will be a great mum," the Daily Mail quoted Cipriani as saying.
The 31-year-old model made the surprise announcement over Twitter last night.
"Thom and I are happy to announce we are expecting a baby girl. We are delighted," she tweeted.
The confirmation was made hours after pictures emerged of the Piranha: 3D star with a fuller figure while she was out shopping in LA.
A source close to the couple confirmed that Kelly has now had her three-month scan and that both baby and mother are healthy.
Brook met 25-year-old former rugby international Thom at the end of November and they have been seeing each ever since.
