The 32-year-old pop diva will head up the main stage when she sings at the extravaganza organised by BBC Radio One in Hull, reported FemaleFirst.

Talking about the fest on the "Breakfast Show", Katy said, "Radio 1's Big Weekend is always a blast and I'm so happy to be able to make it to Hull alongside the incredible line-up." The "Roar" songstress will join performers such as Little Mix, Kings of Leon and Stormzy at the festival.

The show will be held at Burton Constable Hall on May 27 and May 28, which coincides with the UK City of Culture celebrations.
