Karan Johar to help Manish Malhotra realise his dream?

Looks like fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s long-awaited dream of turning into a film-maker will become a reality this year. Manish’s close friend film-maker Karan Johar will apparently flag off the project under his banner Dharma Productions.

Manish says, “I always wanted to be a film-maker but styling and fashion designing took me away from it. Finally, this year I’m expecting to start my project. As of now I can’t reveal much about the banner the movie will be made under or who will be working in it. But all my friends and colleagues will be there by my side to flag off this project.”

Manish says the years that he has spent observing how movies are made while being on the sets of his friends will come to good use when he gets behind the camera. “I’m fully prepared for the job. I have been an ardent follower of cinema, and not just Bollywood. I have closely observed how movies are made,” he says.

And Manish will don several hats in his project as he will also design the outfits for his cast. “I’m too attached to the project and I want to do everything which obviously won’t be possible. I think I will go mad checking on everything but it will be a fascinating journey for me. I just hope people love my work and I do justice to the movie,” he ends.
