The family drama Ek Veer Ki ArdaasVeera aired on Star Plus is set to have a thrilling sequence soon. The village where Ratan (Sneha Wagh) and her kids Veera (Harshita Ojha) and Ranvijay (Bhavesh Balchandani) are residing will be attacked by a tiger.  Yes, a real tiger! And it will be Nihal (Kapil Nirmal) who will save the villagers from the tiger’s wrath a la Ajay Devgn in Himmatwala. What’s interesting is that though Kapil and the tiger will not be in the same frame — their shots  have been canned separately — Kapil underwent training to fight the tiger! Says Kapil, “The tiger scenes were shot in Malaysia.

I went there to see the kind of tiger it was, its weight, its movements etc because my reactions completely depended on that.”  Back in Mumbai, Kapil firstly made himself fit to take on the ferocious animal and then had to rehearse shooting with an imaginary tiger. “I saw Life of Pi, because even in that film, they did not shoot with the real tiger. I keenly observed the actor’s reactions to the tiger and imbibed it,” says Kapil.

When he actually shot for the scene he found it funny as well as interesting. “I had to imagine a 300 pound tiger attacking me, feel that pressure and show it through my veins. I had to project the force with which it pounces on me and fall back. It was the first time I was doing something like this. I am not sure how it has turned out. It’s quite dicey,” confesses Kapil. The episode with the tiger is slated to air in the first week of June.
