Every year at the Toronto Film Festival ,the festival's director Cameron Bailey draws up a list of 16 films that change the way people look at the world. This year India for the first time features in the list.
Shonali Bose's Margarita, With A Straw has made it into Bailey's wish list of cinematic experiences that transform the way people see the world through film.
Calling the film "a gorgeous coming-of-age story" Cameron has placed it at no.7 in his list. Speaking from Toronto, director Shonali Bose excitedly says, "We got standing ovations for our screenings and there is a huge buzz about our film. To top it all, we are on Cameron Bailey's prestigious 'mission list' of films that change the way you look at the world. There are only 16 films in that list."
Shonali further informs that many representatives from various countries have shown interest in buying the film. "We have already sold for a theatrical release to Japan and talks are on with many other countries," says Shonali excitedly.
