Kailash Kher mentors a band of musicians

Kailash Kher has launched and mentored a group of young and talented musicians who will present a reinvented version of popular forms such as Sufi and Ghazals, in an evening concert SurFira. The band comprises classically trained vocalist Sreekant Krishnamurthy (vocal) along with Manuj Dubey (tabla and percussion), Ajinkya Jadhav(bass), Rashmin Parekh (keyboard), Suryakant Sharma (drums and cajon) Shakyamuni Pawar (lead guitar) and Vikram Vishwakarma (Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin and Saaz).

The band strives to make the traditional forms of music relevant to the present-day audiences across all age groups around the world. Interestingly, the band primarily comprises engineers and IT professionals.
