Just 3 Minutes: That would have been Deepika Padukone's role in 'The Mummy Reboot'
Deepika lost out on The Mummy Reboot. Truth be told, it wasn't even a proper full fledged role.
Deepika Padukone might be all set to make her Hollywood debut in xXx 3 but she was also busy giving auditions to numerous Hollywood production houses. One of them was for The Mummy Reboot opposite Tom Cruise.
Both Huma Qureshi and Deepika auditioned for the role but they were both rejected. None of them could make the final cut and now truth be told, the role they had been auditioning for would possibly be the smallest role Dippy has ever had in her career.
Says a source, "The role was of an Asian woman who Tom Cruise thinks of in a flashback. That's it. It's hardly 3 minutes of screen time." We wonder if Deepika is even sad at losing out on the film because back home, she's been loaded with offers that provide her with substantial roles. Right, DP?
