Singer John Mayer has scrapped two upcoming shows and postponed his album release due to throat problem.John was due to perform with legendary singer Tony Bennett at a show in Los Angeles as well as at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas later this month. However, he was forced to cancel it after doctors discovered a granuloma near his vocal cords - an inflamed mass of tissue, reports Contactmusic.com."I know there were people depending on me to be there (at the concerts) and I'm sorry that I can't be on those stages. After several months of monitoring and hoping to correct the condition, I'm forced to cancel my upcoming singing engagements due to something next to my vocal cords called a granuloma," he wrote in a message on Tumblr.com." 'Born and Raised' (album) is complete as far as music recording, song selection, and in some cases mixing, but because of this condition I couldn't finish singing on several of the tracks. This means the record will be released next year instead of this fall or winter," he added.
