John Abraham is now a married man, actor marries Priya Runchal in a private ceremony

This New Year has brought pleasant news of John Abraham's marriage to his girlfriend Priya Runchal.

The actor tied the knot with the investment banker in a private ceremony.

Abraham tweeted a New Year wish that read,

Wishing you and your loved ones a blessed 2014! May this year bring you love, good fortune and joy. Love, John and Priya Abraham

The news of his marriage comes as a surprise to many, who only found out about the union from the actor's Twitter feed.

Abraham was earlier dating actress Bipasha Basu until their break up in 2011.

In an interview earlier in 2013 talking about marriage, John Abraham had said, "I know it will be this year, but I don't know when. It could be in a few months or a few weeks. I am a very impulsive guy. So I may decide to get married next week! It is possible that our wedding may just have 10 people, if we include close family."
