The pop star announced the LP during an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, during which she said she was still in the studio and hoped to have the follow-up to 2013's Artpop finished in the next 48 hours, reported Aceshowbiz.

The album is very personal to Gaga as it's titled after her aunt, who died at the age of 19 from Lupus.

"She is the woman of my past. There's definitely a bittersweetness to (finishing the album). This isn't the end - just the end of this moment. It's also the beginning of this moment," she said .

Joanne is also the singer's middle name.

The singer also detailed a few tracks on Joanne, including one song called 'John Wayne' that features Josh Homme on guitar and explores "my incessant need to run after wild men and somehow I get bored of the same old John."

Last week, Gaga released the first single from Joanne, 'Perfect Illusion', which she co-produced with Mark Ronson, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker and BloodPop.
