Jiah Khan's handwriting on suicide note? London holds the key

To analyse the handwriting in Jiah Khan’s suicide note, the police will call for answer sheets and bank forms written and filled by the late actor.

A police officer said in order to make sure that the six-page suicide letter was indeed written by Jiah, they will have to conduct handwriting analysis. “We will request the authorities of the school and college in London where she studied to send her exam answer sheets for a thorough analysis of the handwriting. We have also requested the banks in which she holds accounts to send us the forms filled for account opening,” the officer added.

Though Jiah’s mother Rabiya has said the letter was written by her daughter and was discovered when they were trying to find if she had written any poems, the police said it is a procedure they will have to follow in order to make their case strong.

Rabiya had earlier told the police that she did not hold anybody responsible for her daughter’s death and that Jiah had attempted suicide by slitting her wrist eight months before her death.

Rabiya also told the police that Jiah was planning to shift to London as she wasn’t getting any offers from the film industry. Jiah wanted to do a masters course in luxury brand management following which she planned to start a boutique. Rabiya added that Jiah told her all this would happen after she and Suraj got married. This indicates that a wedding was on the cards.

Rabiya told the police that unlike Aditya, Suraj did not come for the condolence meet or even try to get in touch with the family. After the letter was found, the police arrested actor Aditya Pancholi’s son Suraj on charges of abetment to suicide.
