Singer Jessica Simpson's father Joe says he is overjoyed that his son-in-law-to-be, American footballer Eric Johnson, keeps his daughter happy.
Joe Simpson is also the singer's manager.
"I am thrilled. I love Eric. I think he's such a great guy and most importantly he loves Jessica and makes her so happy. As a dad, all you want is for your daughter to be happy and she is. He makes her so happy and I love that. I could not be happier," Contactmusic.com quoted Joe as saying.
"This is the happiest she's been in her entire life. It's so wonderful to see," he added.
Now the father feels that the 30-year-old singer-actress will start writing more romantic songs.
"She is in love and I know she will have so many love songs to write straight from the heart for her new record," he said.
