Speaking about her screen test to bag the role, Megan says on the phone from Los Angeles, “About 70 people were shortlisted for a screen test and I was selected from among them. I am the first Indian child actor who has worked in a Hollywood movie and I am happy for that.”

So has she got close to any Hollywood actor while shooting? “There are a few people with whom I managed to become friends — my make-up artist, Jonathan (part of the production team). I also struck a rapport with Jessica Biel and Jennifer Garner. They are great to be with and I am particularly fond of Jessica because she was very sweet to me. Jessica and Jennifer are very fond of me too,” Megan says.

Megan was studying in New Delhi before she went off to the US and her first memory of acting is in front of 500 people at an ‘Indian function’. “I played the lead role in front of 500 people. But now I am not shy anymore in front of the camera. I want to act in more movies but at the same time, I don’t want to neglect my studies.”Megan admits that in a few cases she did face a problem of being a typecast because of her skin colour. “I had tried in a few other projects but I guess I had a disadvantage because most roles required actors with white skin,” she ends.
