Sonam Kapoor’s boyfriend Anand Ahuja is a desk version of Richie Rich. According to a report, the family lives in a bungalow worth more than Rs 100 crore in Delhi. Ahuja who is the CEO and MD of Bhane has written an article in the online digital publication Border And Fall and that’s probably why Sonam and Anand connect — over their love for clothes. Excerpts from the piece: “I went to work in sourcing at my uncle’s wholesale company. I spent six months learning about lean manufacturing at one of my father’s factories in Bangalore. I then went on to pursue my MBA at Wharton and spent my MBA summer internship as a Product Manager at Amazon. com in Seattle. This is when I realised I wanted to work in India. The rest, well, you know... One of the founding principles of Bhane to encourage and facilitate individuality and self expression. This is why our clothes don’t carry logos and even our tags don’t say ‘bhane.’ My Grandmother, she is the one that originally started my family’s apparel manufacturing business.” Garments are the passion of this family. We’d say it’s a match made in heaven for Sonam.
