After Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Yo Yo Honey Singh, another actress becomes a victim of death hoax on social media. On Sunday, news of Farida Jalal's death spread like wild fire on social networking sites.

However, when contacted Farida laughed it off. She told an online portal, "Initially, I thought it was some kind of prank but I realised it wasn’t that when I suddenly started getting calls from every nook and corner. It was awkward, because constantly I was saying the same thing to everyone, ‘Allah ka raham hai, main theek hoon’. It was irritating, nevertheless, this death hoax, made me realise that how much people love me."

While many breathed a sigh of relief after a Twitter account on her name announced that she's fine, she also confirmed that it's not her official account. "Now, I am thankful to all the media houses and journalists, who helped me to put an end to this weird rumour. The funny part was that a fake account on my name on Twitter @FaridaJalal_ announced that I am alive. I want to clarify that I am not using Twitter and request media not to take tweets from that account as my official ones."
