Abhishek Chaubey’s next directorial venture Udta Punjab has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film’s star cast also included Ayushmann Khurrana. However, the Vicky Donor actor recently backed out from the project citing date issues. At the same, rumours also started floating in the media that it was because of Bebo that Ayushmann had to walk out of Udta Punja. Apparently, Saif Ali Khan’s wifey told the makers that she only wants to work with stars. But now the B-town beauty’s spokesperson has given a quote rubbishing these reports. In fact, we hear all this hasn’t gone down well with Ms Khan.
While talking to a leading daily, Kareena’s spokesperson said, “There might be some people with vested interests at play here. Kareena has never interfered in decisions taken by the makers. The director always takes the final call. She is looking forward to doing the film, but doesn’t understand why her name is being dragged into this issue.”
Well, it would have been interesting to see Ayushmann and Bebo on the big screen but for now we are just glad that at least ex-lovers Shahid and Kareena are coming back together on 70mm. So what if they aren’t paired opposite each other, it would still be a visual delight to see them in the same flick, hai na?
