Composer Sam CS is one of the most sought-after young composers in Tamil cinema with a string of exciting projects in hand such as Kaithi, Madhavan's Nambi Narayanan biopic, Kaithi, Gorilla, and Devi 2 to name a few. His upcoming release would be Bigg Boss fame Harish Kalyan's Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum, which is all set to hit the cinemas on Friday worldwide.

Talking about composing for the film, Sam CS, in a statement, said, "Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum is my second film with director Ranjit Jeyakodi after Mellisai which starred Vijay Sethupathi. This is the first time I’m working in a full-fledged romance film. In my previous films, love was usually a segment of the story, and the story revolved around many shades simultaneously. There is more scope for music in this film as the fulcrum of the script is love."

He further added, "Love stories generally give more importance to songs. I am overwhelmed to have received such massive compliments about the album from the public. Anirudh has sung the Kannamma song which now tops the Airplay check data. Though we listen to western songs, we will always have that everlasting love for folk, so we tried to induce it and I am really delighted to know that it has worked out well. I’m an ardent follower of Isaignani Ilaiyaraja Sir, and this movie will also have references of Mouna Ragam in terms of placement."

"Generally a love film will have a few conditions as to when and where a song should be placed, but in 'Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum', we have crooned music based on the intuition of the characters. Whatever the character could not express verbally, we have tried conveying it through music which was a very challenging task. One of the most important things that I have learnt from Ilaiyaraja sir is where one should not place a song or a background score. I have used live instruments for all the songs and the background score to get the organic feel.," he said.

Sam CS also hopes that the film will be a milestone in his career. "I have a good rapport with Ranjit Jeyakodi as we think alike. He will listen to the music first and then compose the scenes accordingly. I wish to do a lot more films with him in the near future, as we get along easily and understand each other’s needs perfectly," said Sam.
