“I had sung a line in Marathi for the song Rafta rafta. It’s a sweet language. In fact, I find that films from Marathi industry have fabulous storylines and actors too. Even their theatre is interesting.” What if he’s offered a Marathi film, would he do it? “I am an actor and I love acting. I’d love to do a Marathi film,” says the Senior Deol, who’s also looking forward to performing with his sons — actors Sunny and Bobby for the first time at an upcoming awards show abroad.

Quiz him about Sunny too making a debut on the small screen as a host of stunt reality show, Jaanbaaz, he says, “I was initially worried for Sunny as he’s an introvert. He hates talking too much, and as a host that is exactly what is supposed to do. But I realised he understands that and is now opening up. What about competition on TV for India’s Got Talent 3 from good friend, actor Amitabh Bachchan who’ll also be seen hosting his quiz show around the same time? “Competition in Amit? Not at all. He is a darling brother. And I wish him great success and happiness.”
