I’m definitely a versatile actress: Neetu Chandra

She may be the next queen of controversy, but trust actress Neetu Chandra to believe in just picking up and getting on with her life.

So much so that she’s currently working at diverting people’s attention to the fact that her black belt in taekwondo was what helped her do all her stunts in her recent film.

“I played the role a girl who is into a lot of martial arts and stunts in No Problem. I’ve done my own stunts and from what I have seen, the audience is quite impressed. The kind of roles I have been choosing to play also stress on the fact that I’m a versatile actress,” she says.

With movies like Love Jaise Kuch, Khusar Parsad Ke Bhoot and Aadhi Bhagavan in Tamil, her kitty seems full. “I’ve done over 15 films now and every film of mine has portrayed me differently,” adds Neetu.

The actress also seems quite upbeat about working with ace Kollywood director Ameer Sultan on Aadhi Bhagavan which also stars Jeyam Ravi. “We’ve been shooting in Thailand for a couple of days. Though it is a love story, the way it’s been told is different. Since, Ameer adds enough weight to the heroine’s role, my character too has a lot of importance,” she states.

What’s surprising is that Neetu has impressed the director so much that she bagged a short role in Myshkin’s Yuddham Sei. “I did a song for them and it was such a fun experience dancing with Ameer for it,” she chuckles.

With great releases next year, the actress says that 2011 will be even more an exciting year for her. “I’m happy with the way my career is shaping up,” she signs off.
