I don’t like playing the numbers: Sriimurali

Kannada actor Sriimurali feels it’s quality and not quantity that matters to him when it comes to doing what he likes best — films.

With Loosegalu, Kannada actor Sriimurali seems to have stepped out of his on screen hiatus. The actor, post Sri Kshetra Adichunchanagiri has been maintaining a low profile both on and off screen, so when we caught up with him on the sets of Loosegalu, we were curious not just about the film but also about what he was up to all this while.

“I just decided to take things slow as numbers don’t matter to me. I believe in providing the right kind of entertainment and so decided to do films that provide a better scope for the actor in me,” he says. Loosegalu, a multi-starrer is one among these flicks. “This film is getting me to push my limits as an actor. I play a drug addict and it is not just my role and the look I sport in it, but the entire concept itself that’s intrigued me.

The film depicts how in a world filled with self-centered people, the selfless and good natured are considered odd and abnormal! It also shows what happens when success comes knocking on one’s doors instead of us constantly aspiring for materialistic pleasures!” says the actor.

After completing work on Loosegalu, Murali will shoot for Parabramha, a love story. “It is about a man who believes in determining his fate himself. The film will go on floors in November.”

And what about Nande that has been in the making for such a long time? Murali simple states, “This film is very close to my heart and will come as a complete surprise package. I don’t want to reveal anything more about it for now. The first look will be launched soon.” That said, Murali avers, “Yes, we have taken time to complete the project as I will be seen in three looks. This is also the reason why I stayed away from signing other films in the past few months.”

Once the actor wraps up work on these films, he will start work in his home production that will see him and his actor- brother, Vijay Raghavendra coming back together onscreen, yet again. The film is expected to go on floors next year.
