The stage, as they say, is set. The stage version of  Mahesh Bhatt’s game-changing post-marital drama Arth is ready. While Imran Zahid plays the husband played by Kulbhusan Kharbanda in the film, news is Huma Qureshi and Swara Bhaskara are to play the roles immortalised by Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil.Imran confirms the news saying, “Yes, we’ve approached Huma and Swara to play the female leads.” The news that would gladden the hearts of all those who loved the songs and music by Jagjit Singh in the film is that the songs would be used in the play as well.Says Imran, “It was because Mahesh Bhatt saab got so many requests on Twitter to use the songs in the play that we’ve approached Saregama-HMV, who own the rights of the Arth soundtrack for the same. So yes, people will get to hear Jagjit saab’s beautiful songs written by Kaifi Azmi saab, like Tum itna jo muskura rahe ho and Jhuki jhuki si nazar in our play.”
