Hrithik Roshan to restart work on 'Krrish 4' after father Rakesh Roshan's recovery

Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan's passion project Krrish 4 had been put on the backburner when Rakesh Roshan was diagnosed with cancer of the skin back in January. The director had to undergo surgery and stay away from work until full recovery. However, Hrithik recently expressed that his father is now feeling better. 

He went on to say that since his father is better now and he will be returning to direct Krrish 4. The film is expected to go on floors soon. He spoke to PTI and said, “Right after WAR, I am going to sit with my father, get everyone together and restart work on Krrish 4. We had put it a little on the side because dad was recovering. Now that he is better, we will kick-start it once more.”

Rakesh Roshan previous directed films like Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish (2006), and Krrish 3 (2013). The fourth instalment was announced back in 2017. The film is now scheduled for release on Christmas 2020.

On the other hand, Hrithik is speculated to start shooting for Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan's collaboration. The film is reportedly a remake of Amitabh Bachchan's Satte Pe Satta. The 1982 original was directed by Raj Sippy. The film itself was adapted from an American musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

Hrithik earlier has played Amitabh's role in Agneepath. He is also speculated to play his role in this remake while rest of the cast in unknown. The film will also see other six male casts and seven female leads. The original was led by Hema Malini as the female lead.
