In what may be considered a historical move, Hrithik Roshan's latest release Kaabil is all set to be released in Pakistan in a day or two. This makes Kaabil the first Indian movie to have a solo release in Pakistan after the ban on Indian movies is lifted.

Recently, the Ministry of Information in Pakistan announced that the Government has decided to continue the existing policy to display all international films, including Indian films, in Pakistani cinemas. As per reports, a notification issued says, "Federal government is pleased to continue the existing open policy to display all international movies (including Indian films) in Pakistani cinemas and is pleased to take the following decisions for revival of the Pakistani film industry."

Earlier, the management of Pakistani cinemas had announced an indefinite ban on the screening of all Bollywood movies. This was done as a protest against the ban on Pakistani artists in India in the wake of the Uri terror attacks.
