Kapil Sharma’s show is getting into a bigger mess with each passing week. Last weekend moderator Navjot Singh Sidhu was seen getting risque in his humour making Kapil squirm and reprimand Paaji for being naughty.
For the first time, Sidhu cracked what can be called a non-vegetarian joke when he told Kapil, Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana about a fellow-politician who returned from the loo with his zipper open.
“This is not the kind of humour that a respected politician, parliamentarian and State Minister should be heard having on television. Everyone was shocked by Sidhuji’s sudden swerve into sleaze. Even Kapil who is known for his clean humour was embarrassed,” says a source from The Kapil Sharma Show.
Now, in the episode recorded after this, it comes to light that Navjot Singh Sidhu didn’t turn up for the shooting at all. Says a source from Kapil’s team, “Sidhuji didn’t show up for the episode we shot with Sonakshi Sinha this weekend. I think he is finding it hard to maintain his travel schedule while attending to his new responsibilities as a State Minister.”
This source admits that Sidhu’s days on Kapil’s show could be numbered. One more setback for the beleaguered Kapil Sharma Show?
