Kapil, however, deleted the tweets, claiming his account was hacked but soon took to Twitter to post a new tweet on late Friday night, accepting that it was indeed him. It was also reported that the comedian has called up a journalist (Vickey Lalwani) to abuse and threaten him.

Now National Award winning director Hansal Mehta opened up on Kapil’s tweets and said that it is a ‘sad reflection of his possible state of mind’. The filmmaker took to Twitter to post and wrote, “Kapil Sharma’s language with the journalist was despicable but also a sad reflection of his possible state of mind. The journalist in question is no ethical saint either. He has harassed many people, spun many malicious stories and has created stories with his misleading questions.”

For the unversed, Kapil filed a police complaint against his ex-managers Neeti, Preeti, and journalist Lalvani for starting false and malicious propaganda to defame him in digital media after he refused to pay him the amount.

The comedy star recently made a comeback to small screen with Family Time With Kapil Sharma but the show has not been able to recreate the success of his previous show.
