Neeraj Pandey and Sushant Singh Rajput are working hard to get the biopic on Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni on the screens. Sushant plays the titular role in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
But did you know that there was someone else vying to play that role?
In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar revealed that he wanted Neeraj Pandey to consider him to play the role of Mahi, reports Times of India.
The director politely refused the request telling Akshay that he does not look like that character. Akshay agrees.
The Housefull actor has worked with Neeraj in movies like Special 26 and Baby. Akshay is also playing the lead role in Rustom which is again produced by Neeraj.
