Gautam Gulati dumps Udanchoo to make his debut with Ekta Kapoor’s film

10 days after revealing that he’s making his Bollywood debut with Udanchoo, Gautam Gulati pulls out of the project to play the lead in an Ekta Kapoor project. The actor had unveiled the first look of Udanchoo on his Twitter handle. Gulati was to turn duper with Udanchoo, which is a con caper. But not anymore!

The actor confirmed the new to a popular daily saying, “Yes, I informed the producer on Thursday. The dates are clashing with a Balaji production which rolls in June. Ekta ma’am will always be my priority because she gave me my break on television.”

But wouldn’t this put the makers of Udanchoo in a tight spot? “I’ve been speaking to Ekta ma’am regularly. The date clash just happened. It might have got sticky if we’d started shooting but right now it doesn’t affect anyone much” says the actor.

So it’s confirmed that Gulati is making his debut with Ekta’s film. Does this mean he’s okay with the nudity clause in Ekta’s contract which covers exposure and shooting for intimate scenes. To this the actor adds, “My film is for a family audience and not an erotic drama like XXX. Even if anyone wanted, you can’t incorporate provocative visuals or titillating lines.”
