Benioff also said that the upcoming two seasons of the show will be shorter than usual, reported Deadline.

"It's two more seasons we're talking about. From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours, and that's what we'll end up with. Call it 73 for now," he said.

Benioff elaborated on the fact that the story cannot be unnecessarily extended for the sake of its fans and is definitely heading towards the end game now.

"Not planning to prolong the saga just because there's a lot of people who still watch it. We wanted to something where, if people watched it end to end, it would make sense as one continuous story."
