Kristian Nairn, who plays the role of Hodor in the hit series, told ABC News that he and Isaac Hempstead who plays Strak had a season off and now they had a year’s hiatus, because their storyline was up to the end of the books. Both the characters were central to the plot in the fourth season of the show.

Hodor's character is famously monosyllabic. Nairn said that now, he got his year off to do 'Rave Of Thrones' (his DJ show) and to travel all over the world.

Season five of the show recently began shooting and will combine plotlines from the fourth and fifth book of the series.
