As per reports that are doing the rounds, some members of the Shia community have objected to a shot in the Raees trailer in which SRK is seen jumping over a procession in the middle of a chase sequence. According to the Hindustan Times, the said shot has the procession carrying the alam mubarak, which is supposed to be a religious structure, of the Shia community in Islam.

Reportedly, the said structure is considered sacred in Islam and hence the scene comes across as disrespect to the religion. Owing to this, the representatives of the community have sent a written letter to the CBFC, seeking removal of the said scene from the film.

Apparently, Shia members in Bareilly (UP)  want the district administration to intervene and put a stop on the circulation of the Raees trailer, which has become quite popular on social media. The report further adds that similar complaints have been registered in Mayur Vihar police station in Delhi and Jaunpur district court (UP) as well.
