Yes, Akshay's next with R Balki is based on an inspirational story of Arunachalam Muruganantham who is also known as India's 'Menstruation Man'.
Akshay Kumar and R Balki are teaming up for an exciting yet unconventional project of sorts. And it's got a quirky title too. While announcing the line up for his 2017 films, Akshay revealed that his film with Balki is titled Padman.
The film is based on a true inspiring and extraordinary story of Arunachalam Muruganantham who is also famously called India's Menstruation Man. Muruganantham who hails from Tamil Nadu invented the low-cost sanitary pad making machines and created awareness about the traditional menstruation mechanisms on the grassroot level.
Twinkle Khanna will be producing the film and reportedly, Akshay will romance Sonam Kapoor in the film. Shooting for the film begins soon.
