Rekha has always been a mystery to most Indians. Despite being one of the most popular heroines in the '70s and '80s, she has always been in the news for numerous controversies that she was mired in.

The book mentions how Rekha was forcefully smooched in her first film Anjana Safar. The film's director Raja Nawathe and Biswajeet Chatterjee had planned it entirely. Without informing her, they shot an intimate scene where Biswajeet, the lead actor suddenly locked lips with her and all that a newcomer like Rekha could do was shut her eyes as tears came rolling down. This continued for 5 minutes before the director called for a cut.
