The posters of Fitoor had already been out and they already prepared us for the intense, passionate love story that we were about to witness. With the two and half minute trailer hitting all platforms on Monday, the faith can be reinstated. Although the trailer has more of the Katrina Kaif-Aditya Roy Kapur love angle- that being the main pulley for the entire plot- it's Tabu's stellar act that has swept us away.

First things first. Tabu's posters also created the most buzz on social media. While the crowd appreciated Katrina and Aditya's posters too, it was Tabu's menacing look that had everyone wanting for more. And the trailer has hammered the statement and how! Despite hardly being there in a countable four-five shots, Tabu's Begum Hazrat packs quite a punch. So much that her character's sheer brilliance and crackling screen presence has already overshadowed the lead pair.

Sorry Katrina and Aditya, we can't help but admit that although Tabu's role might be way shorter than yours, she owns the film much more than you two! Evil, conniving and on a mission- Tabu's take on Miss Havisham is more layered, detailed and definitely more intriguing. While there were initial hiccups felt in the team after Madam Rekha decided to walk out, we're sure Abhishek Kapoor will be mighty pleased with the way the Drishyam actress has pulled off her rule. And that in itself is a winner.

There are some major warts in the film evident from the trailer. Katrina and Aditya's dialogue delivery isn't quite you would want it to be. But undeniably, Katrina and Aditya look smoking hot together and the lovemaking scenes will rather be one of the biggest highlights of the film. Not just that, what got me to like the trailer a lot more are the songs that kept playing in the backdrop. While the title song is outstanding, it's the Pashmina number which I'm already listening to on a loop (from the trailer, silly!).

All in all, Tabu's terrific acting prowess has always called for a great watch. She came, she saw and she conquered it. One more time. We weren't surprised when New York Times claimed Haider should have been called Ghazala. We won't be surprised if the same happens with Fitoor as well. And I'm sure even the team wouldn't mind it that much!
