The images reveal the merciless background in which Logan might have to operate. They also leave room for a lot of speculations as to what the old characters are up to and what new additions to the cast will bring to the table.

In the first image, posted on October 6, we get to look at an aged Professor X. Sir Patrick Stewart is back to play Charles Xavier to bid adieu to Jackman as Wolverine.

Then a series of black and white images give you noir feels and show you that a few scenes might be harder to digest for audiences.

The final image in the series so far shows Boyd Holbrook sitting in a barebones pick-up truck looking at the horizon, probably plotting Logan's destruction.

Earlier it was reported that the storyline for Logan is borrowed from the comic book series Old Man Logan. The caption with Holbrook's image points at the character, an evil cyborg named Donald Pierce.

According to a report in Entertainment Weekly, Pierce first appeared in the comic book series as a member of Hellfire Club. We've seen the club make an appearance in X-Men: First Class. Later, Pierce rises as the leader of an anti-mutant band of evil cyborgs. The EW report also suggests that Pierce and The Reavers were not part of Old Man Logan series. So there is room for speculation as to how the two storylines will come together.

The movie features Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E Grant, Stephen Merchant, and Elise Neal. It is set to release in the US on March 3, 2017.
