The year 2010 saw a gamut of film releases. But who are the few who literally stole the show? DNA finds out...
The year 2010 saw some big releases starting from My Name Is Khan, Dabangg, Robot and the recent Tees Maar Khan. But how many of them actually impressed with their unique style and charm is the biggest question! After Hrs speaks to image consultant Manjusha Maheshwari, who lists down the top 11 actors who’ve impressed with their styles this year...
Though a film like Aisha bombed at the box office, Sonam Kapoor is one actor in Bollywood who has constantly remained stylish. Be it for her films or photoshoots for magazine covers, she’s a style diva!
Another actor who is a close competitor for Sonam would be Deepika Padukone. Her look in Break Ke Baad was very impressive. The clothes she sported in the flick were urban cool and chic. And, what’s more impressive is the fact that she carries them with so much ease.
The actor who brought back the rugged look in style is Hrithik Roshan in Guzaarish. Considering the fact that it is the most popular look with girls, I think he carried the look pretty effortlessly. Undeniably, this is one look that has suited him the most.
As far as the newbies are concerned, I find the Dabangg girl, Sonakshi Sinha quite an impressive find. Her look in the film is homely and she carried it off really well. For a newcomer, I find her personal style pretty good too.
Ace actor Amitabh Bachchan truly deserves to be on this list. For his age, he carries of any look with style and charm. I loved his look in Teen Patti and the recent appearance in Save the Tiger campaign.
I wouldn’t want to miss Malaika Arora Khan in this list. Though her song, Munni Badnaam Hui from Dabangg is an item number, she looked absolutely ravishing. She perfectly suited the number and added that extra oomph to the song!
Shah Rukh Khan’s look in My Name Is Khan was also quite impressive. Playing the role of a person who suffers from Asperger’s syndrome is quite difficult. Instead of portraying it in a sad way, Shah Rukh changed it completely with his neat and formal looks.
How can one miss out on our very own Bangalore beauty Ramya. Apart from the fact that she’s a fantastic actor, her look in all her films this year has been great. And when she’s seen at parties, she is at her best.
Though Ranbir Kapoor is been getting loads of accolades for his performances, I find Imran Khan better as a style icon. He carries his clothes in a simple yet classy manner. I loved the look he sported in Break Ke Baad and lives up to his age!
Southern actor Suriya’s look in Raktha Charitra was too good for a Bollywood debut. He literally stuck to the skin of the character and I also liked the way in which he sported the rugged look with ease!
n And last but not the least, I have to mention the veteran actor Rajnikanth’s look in Robot, which is undeniably the best. His look in the film literally amazed me. It is quite interesting to know that even at his age, he gives importance to styling and carries different looks so effortlessly. Hats off to the stylist and, of course, the superstar himself!
