Yesterday Anurag Kashyap assisted me but today he is my inspiration," Mishra told reporters  at an event. This year, Kashyap's big budget film Bombay Velvet tanked at the box-office.

Mishra, however, liked the film and feels it's ok to see failure at times. "I liked Bombay Velvet... When you like a director you even like his flaws. Everybody doesn't succeed all the time. It's not possible. It's the job of audience and critics to dismiss things people. My job is not to dismiss anyone."

"He is trying to do better but he failed ...but I like his films. I liked Gangs of Wasseypur," Mishra said.
