Film Review: 'Enemmy' fails to reflect current sensibilities

Adding an extra 'm' to the title doesn't do the trick for Enemmy which is your regular cop battle gangster film starring an interesting cast of father-son duo Mithun-Mahaakshay (artist formerly known as Mimoh), Suniel Shetty, Kay Kay Menon and Akshay Kapoor. It is tailor made for the masses, yet the texture and production values fail to reflect todays sensibilities.

The film involves four CID officers (Suniel, Kay Kay, Johny Lever and Mahaakshay), who have to keep the city's underworld don Mukhtar (Zakir) under check. But their efforts to maintain the peace in the city is short lived as CBI officer (Mithun )is sent to investigate matters and figure out the mole who is disrupting their efforts. There is the regular dialoguebaazi, songs and predictable twists and turns. Also watching Johny Lever keep a straight face and play a serious role is too hard to digest!

Instead of using numerology, if the makers have hired better writers, this Enemmy would be a different story.
