Fight between Kabir and Pooja Bedi gets out of hand
A 'hurt' Pooja Bedi on not attending her father's marriage to 'wicked witch'; wishes him the best nevertheless
The debonair-at-70 Kabir Bedi tied the knot for the fourth time on January 16 to his steady girlfriend Parveen Dusanj, a match thoroughly disapproved of by Kabir's eldest daughter Pooja Bedi.
Pooja tweeted, "Every fairytale has a wicked witch or an evil step-mother! Mine just arrived!"
Beneath the seemingly dismissive remark lie layers of hurt and betrayal. When contacted, Pooja told this writer, "It hurts to not have been a part of such a momentous occasion in my dad's life. I love my dad and I wish him the very best."
The hostility between Parveen and the hot-headed Pooja came to a head two years ago over a property dispute.
At that time, Kabir Bedi had said this writer, "I am very upset that Pooja is targetting Parveen when the dispute was between her and me."
