She was then seen on the big screen in a thriller film, also by Kapoor’s production house. Since then Hassanandani has been juggling between the two mediums of entertainment.

Though her film career has not been sensational, Hassanandani is not letting her hopes down. The actress is back on the small screen and says that working on TV makes her happy.

Moving away from kapoor’s stable, Hassanandani is now doing Andhera, a horror show. “I wanted to do a TV show but was waiting for the right role. This show offered me exactly that. It gives me lot of space as an actor to showcase varied emotions. The ambience of the sets gives me an eerie feeling. But that surely means we will be able to jolt the audiences.”

So is Kapoor aware of her taking up the show? And did she ask Kapoor before signing the show? “Yes, she is very much aware of the show. In fact, she liked the promos. But why will I seek her permission to do the show? We are friends but it’s my career. I guess I can take my own decisions.”

Will she work with Kapoor again? “Of course, I will. Ektaa’s production house is like home to me. We will be working on something shortly. I’d always love to work with her, but that doesn’t mean I’d stick to only her production house. I am sure she wouldn’t want that too. It will become so predictable then.”

Hassanandani, we hear, is learning to cook in her spare time. Is this for someone special? “Yes, it’s for me,” she jokes. “I am single and there is no Mr right around. Whenever love has to happen, it will. But I am a total foodie and I have learnt to cook Italian food. It’s just too much fun,” she signs off.
