He admitted this when he was conferred the Yash Chopra Memorial Award
Shah Rukh Khan maybe known as the King of romance in Bollywood. However, it's not a tag he was comfortable with early on in his career. I
n fact, he went on to reveal this as he was conferred with the Fourth National Yash Chopra Memorial Award on Saturday. He said,“I can proudly say that Yash Chopra has single-handedly created my career.”
He also confessed that he didn’t want to be a romantic hero. “I am not good with romance. I felt I wasn’t good looking enough. I just went by his belief and it paid off.”
